Rev Dr Jason Kioa was trained at the Melbourne College of Divinity (now Pilgrim University) and Charles Sturt University, NSW. Ordained 1990 at the Synod of Victoria/Tasmania. Jason is married to Fotolina Hyacinth Kioa with four siblings, 'Elitisi with 1 son, Kapiolani with 3 children, Elvina with 3 children and Isi with 2 children.
Reverend Brendon Lukin has had a varied career as professional musician and full-time member of the Australian Defence Force since 2004. Over the last thirty-six years he has worked as a professional musician in Germany, SE Asia, USA, Middle East, Sweden, and around Australia in military, ecclesiastical, educational and concert environments. Following several years of theological studies, Brendon was recently ordained as a Uniting Church Minister. For the next 18 months, he is completing the Pastoral Placement phase of his Chaplain-in-Service-Training as a Commissioned Officer with the Australian Army. As Assistant Minister, Brendon is working alongside Rev Dr Jason Kioa serving in the ministry team at Mascot Wesley Uniting Church. Brendon attended Newington College, Stanmore from 1986-1989, where he was first introduced to Tongan culture. He is looking forward to encouraging new friendships between his old school and Mascot Wesley Uniting Church. Brendon enjoys working with young people of all ages, having previously served as an Adult Leader for Scouts Australia. He is a “Godly Play’ Facilitator and fully accredited Suzuki Method Music teacher (organ). Brendon is married to Cath, who is a Music Educator. Their 21-year-old son, Dominic lives in Brisbane. Dominic, like all the Lukin family is a brass musician as well. In his free time, Brendon enjoys bike riding, time on farm and bush walking.
